Traditional British wool tailoring with a distinctive character hidden within.
The Moreton Heritage jacket is handcrafted from Marton Mills Nidderdale Collection Cheviot Mocha, a substantial 100% Pure New Wool cloth. At approximately 475gsm, the cloth has a reassuring weight and beautifully traditional handle, giving the jacket structure while retaining the character expected of classic British country tailoring.
The rich mocha colouring makes the Moreton particularly versatile, equally at home worn with a shirt and tie or more casually with knitwear and trousers. British-made Courtney & Co. buttons and functional sleeve buttons with working buttonholes complete the traditional tailoring exterior.
Inside, the Moreton reveals something rather different. The 100% viscose printed lining from Lear Browne & Dunsford. Inspired by vintage romance and magazine artwork, the lining introduces an unexpected flash of colour and personality against the understated brown wool exterior.
Each Moreton Heritage Jacket is individually made to order in our Devon workshop. From cutting the Marton Mills cloth through to construction and finishing, every jacket is made with care and intended to be worn and enjoyed for many years.
